Description

Are you experienced in handling physician referrals, telephone calls and other front desk type responsibilities in a busy medical practice? Have you worked with specialty services, incoming referrals from other physicians, performed front office duties and helped with high volumes of calls? We have a great opportunity for you!

This position is responsible for providing support for the daily activities of a medical office including greeting visitors and patients, providing telephone coverage, scheduling appointments, registering patients and working with referring physician offices.

Essential Duties: (including but not limited to)

Answering phones

Checking patients in and out

Receives incoming referrals and works collaboratively with referring office staff

Registering patients and updating information

Labeling, scanning and checking patient documents that are placed in computer system

Prepares billing and collects copays, coinsurance and other self pay payments

Maintains confidentiality of all patient information

Manages difficult or emotional patient situations

Identifies patient wait times and helps avoid delays

Other duties to be assigned
